When picking blueberries, it is important to keep track of the weight picked per person. In order to have a good performance measurement, you need to be well informed about the harvested weight per employee per hour. All information can be recorded directly in the field.
Blueberries can be sold directly, but are also often placed in refrigerator, where they can be kept for up to 6 to 8 weeks. Here, traceability is of great importance. When weighing, a label can be printed with the date, time, employee, lot where the blueberries came from and number of kilograms. In this way, crates with too many green and/or damaged berries can be traced back to the employee in question and you always have a good guarantee of quality.
Blueberries also lend themselves well to a self-registration mode. Because blueberries are small and relatively fragile products, pickers often emerge from the rows with a maximum of one crate per hour. Because every time the crate is full, it is important to register it. We don’t want crates to stand in line for several hours before they are registered; they need to go into the cooler as soon as possible. Therefore, one filled box can be weighed and registered at a time. The employee can place the box on the scale himself and scan the personal badge. Then a label is printed that can be attached to the box.
